1. Preparation.

If you know it's going to be a busy day, or a busy week for that matter, prepare for it! Whether it's setting a definite "you" time for your workout or preparing healthy snacks for the week or even what your dinners will be for the week on Sunday, the more you're prepared the more likely you are to stay on track.

2. Buddy system.

I struggle getting to the gym just like anybody else, but when I know I'm meeting a friend for a workout I never miss it! It's easier to flake on yourself than it is to a friend so when you involve them in your fitness plan you're more likely to stick to it.

3. Be kinder to yourself.

There's an expectation that is often developed that our workouts have to match a certain intensity or volume every single time. Let me be the one to tell you that this is just not possible. Allow yourself to honor what your body and energy offers for that day. It's so easy to get down on ourselves for not being at our best but the bottom line is we're not going to be 100% day to day so just give what you got when you got it!

1. Make small changes.

Don't change everything all at once. Make a few, smaller changes at a time and you'll be more likely to stick to your plans.

2. Get a workout buddy.

Make plans with a partner to go for a run, hike, or take a group fitness class together. You'll hold each other accountable.

3. Set yourself up for success.

If you hate running, don't run. There are so many different sports and different types of workout classes. Find an activity you like so you'll keep doing it!

4. Track your workouts.

This way, you can see your progress.

1. Set a specific time to train.

Don't deviate from this time. This is your hour to commit to you!

2. Make your favorite playlist.

Listening to your favorite jams can help motivate you to power through your workout

3. Clean out your fridge.

Clean your cabinets and fridge of any bad eating choices and replace them with good ones!

4. Be a trainer for a day.

Come up with different styles of workout for you and a friend to achieve.

1. Fall in love with the feeling.

Most of us want the visual gains. We want the nice dress and the girl on the magazine cover. Remember what truly and the way you feel. The way you look in the dress shouldn't depict how you feel in the dress or the way others think you look. You feel good because YOU are making changes, because each morning when YOU get up YOU go for it. YOU do it! Weight loss is a side effect of falling in love with the feeling.

2. Take the body and the mind will follow.

When you don't want to exercise or make a healthy choice, commit to 5min. Usually just starting is enough, but not starting and not trying do nothing and will leave you feeling empty and at a loss.

3. Keep your power.

We give our power away everyday to our bosses, husbands, wives, children, chocolate, martinis...the list goes on. Keep your power. You are born into this world a powerful being so don't give your God-given right to be happy over to an external person or thing. Keep it, it's yours!

4. Embrace all choices and learn from them.

If you are feeling guilty about a choice you've made look at it as an opportunity. Good and bad choices are what make this world go round. Don't dwell on a bad weekend of binge eating or lack of exercise, but rather learn from it. When we are in our darkest places is when we are on the verge of something great. Be still, trust and take action.
