Courtney started her weight loss journey before being on The Biggest Loser. She weighed 435 pounds and knew it was time to change her life. Through determination, Courtney lost 112 pounds on her own before ever stepping foot onto the Ranch. She became a contestant on Season 11, and lost another 110 pounds. She is grateful to the cast and trainers of the show for motivating her daily on the Ranch.
Since the show, Courtney has opened her own business called YoAmazing Yogurt Shoppe in Valparaiso, Indiana, that serves nonfat, no sugar added, frozen yogurt with fresh fruit and sugar-free toppings. She is a full-time student studying business at Indiana University online. She is also in the process of starting a nonprofit organization called SMYLE, Start Making Your Life Extraordinary, geared towards pre-teenagers and teenagers wanting to make a life change.
Courtney has maintained her weight loss and healthy lifestyle and works on herself on a daily basis. She is working on losing her last 30 pounds. She hopes to spread inspiration to everyone she meets, no matter what type of battle they may be fighting. She believes if you take your life one choice at a time, stay positive, believe in yourself and do enough good for others in the world, you can do anything!
