Hometown: Frankfort, Illinois
Occupation: National Spokespeople and Organizers of The Biggest Loser RunWalk
Dan, a native of Frankfort, Illinois, grew up captivated by music. But his constant battle with obesity and self-esteem put his dreams on hold. At 310 pounds Dan, along with his mother Jackie, became a contestant on The Biggest Loser Season 5. On the show, Dan lost 136 pounds and subsequently found the doors to his childhood dreams flung wide open.
After the show, Dan pursued his passion for music and released his debut album, “Goin' All Out,” in the fall of 2008. It debuted at number seven on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Dan continues to write his own music and perform, something he never thought was possible with his former 310-pound frame.
Dan and Jackie registered for their first race in 2010 to maintain their weight loss, and immediately became hooked on the experience. Today they are determined to educate and inspire families from all over America to live a healthy and happy lifestyle through fitness. In 2011 alone, Dan ran 14 half marathons. Combining his two passions - music and running - Dan is now performing his music at most of The Biggest Loser RunWalk post-race concerts and inspiring others to live a healthy, happy lifestyle.
