Occupation: Motivational Speaker, Author and Musician
Danny Cahill’s life was a mess. The former professional musician with big dreams had grown to almost 460 pounds, feeling hopeless and thinking there was no way back to health. He felt like a failure. Then he decided to change his mind. He decided to make a goal: To go on The Biggest Loser and lose more weight than any other past contestant. Danny not only made the show, but became the winner of Season 8. He credits The Biggest Loser for giving him the challenge and the tools he needed to not only get the weight off, but become a healthy role model to his children, wife Darci, his community and to America!
Danny lost 239 pounds or 56% of his total body weight. Danny holds the title for the highest percentage of weight loss in Biggest Loser history. Since the show, Danny has become a sought-after motivational speaker and has spoken all over the world to more than 200,000 people, Fortune 500 companies, churches and charitable organizations. He has authored two books, “Lose Your Quit” and “Losing Big,” and is recording music again. He publishes a monthly column in Community Spirit, a Tulsa magazine, and writes a motivational blog at loseyourquit.com.
